Last night we had a storm that dumped 100 millimeters of rain in less than two hours. Included in the mix was lightning, hail, and strong winds. There’s a waterfall coming down the Hamiton escarpment beside Highway 403 that’s normally pretty tame. Last night it looked like Niagara Falls. There was so much pressure that the water was almost landing on the highway, about 10-15 meters farther than it normally comes out. Of course the normal waterways couldn’t handle the overflow, so the four-lane highway bore the brunt of the force, making the commute home a nightmare. Cars and three inches of running water don’t mix too well.
Good reminder that God is still in control.
