Meet the latest member of our family. She’s a Cockapoo, a mix between a Cocker Spaniel and a smaller Poodle. She’ll (hopefully) have the brains of a poodle and the temperament of a Cocker Spaniel, but that remains to be seen. “Rosie” is about 7 weeks old, and well on her way to being house trained after only a few days at our house. The kids adore her, and for the first few days wouldn’t put her down. Now she’s a bit more rambunctious, and thinks my toes are good for chasing and chewing.

I didn’t realize this, but having a puppy in the house is much like having a newborn baby, although a baby will stay in one place and won’t chew on everything. Good thing her jaws aren’t strong enough to do any damage yet.
