This post has been a long time in coming. So first of all, Happy New Year! We had an excellent holiday, so good in fact that I didn’t touch a computer for something like 7 days in a row. That’s a record for me, and a well deserved break after the crunch we went through at work the last few weeks of December.

I’ve been working frantically on my dulcimer… last night I started stringing it. Everything I’ve read about stringing dulcimers mentions bandaids, long hours and frustration; the authors were all correct. It’s a lot of work, but when the first real note comes forth the past 9 months of effort are suddenly worth it all. It’ll be a few more days before it’s completely strung up.

I’d post pictures, but for some reason my gallery has stopped working. I’d much rather string a dulcimer than fix my gallery right now, so that’ll take a few days to resolve.
